RAYITE™ 200
Sprayable Machinable Media from USG Corporation is a water-based, super-tough
molding material ideal for use on a wide range of prototyping, mold, pattern
and model-making operations.
The spray-applied, gypsum-based product
can be used for applications of any size or shape, but is especially practical
for large patterns and molds. It is easily applied in thin cross-sections to
virtually any structurally supported armature, such as expanded polystyrene or
low-density polyurethane foam.
RAYITE 200 Sprayable Machinable Media
can be used with all machining processes and is ideally suited for CNC routers
and gantry-type mills. It delivers excellent edge definition and produces
sharp, precise cuts with minimal loading on milling machines and cutting tools.
Its low friction results in reduced tool wear.
The product's unique
formulation provides a number of additional application and performance
benefits. The setting time can be adjusted from several minutes to several
hours, providing the versatility needed to accommodate a wide range of pattern
sizes. It also is non-combustible and non-toxic, ensuring a safe mixing and
spraying environment. In addition, it delivers a high dimensional stability
