Orleans, LA. USG's plant was the first lime
facility in the U.S. to obtain ISO 9002
certification. The KEMIKAL family of products is
used in a wide variety of industrial and food
applications. Food grade lime is Kosher certified
and meets all Food Chemicals Codex (FCC)
specifications. High calcium, industrial grade
calcium oxide products feature high purity and
controlled slake characteristics. An on-site
laboratory is augmented by a fully equipped
Corporate Research Center in Libertyville, IL.

Food Chemicals Codex Hydrate
A high purity, calcium hydroxide meeting Food
Chemicals Codex specifications. The product is
manufactured at U.S. Gypsum Company’s ISO 9002
and AIB (American Institute of Baking) approved
facility in New Orleans. FCC Hydrate is Kosher
certified and available in 50 lb. multiwall bags
or bulk.

GL Specialty Pulverized Oxide
A high calcium lime which is finely pulverized to
provide a controlled slake rate and efficient
production. The product is manufactured in a
rotary kiln at U.S. Gypsum Company’s ISO 9002
approved New Orleans plant. GL Specialty Oxide is
available in bulk or drums.

Hydrate
A high purity, calcium hydroxide manufactured on a
rotary kiln at U.S. Gypsum Company’s ISO 9002
approved plant in New Orleans. KEMIKAL®
hydrate is produced in a continuous hydrator
followed by grinding and air separation. The
product is available in bulk or 50 lb. multiwall
bags.

Oxide-Crushed
A high calcium, pebble lime with approximately
85-95% on a 100 mesh screen. The product is
availabe in bulk or drums.
