Gypsum Rock for Portland Cement Production

For 100 years, USG has been the leader in gypsum-based products for building and many other applications, including gypsum rock for Portland Cement (PC) production.

PC Rock is used by cement producers in the finish grind to impart setting and working time properties, along with providing dimensional stability for finished cement and concrete.

Due to our large network of plants, USG Industrial Products Division has the ability to provide PC Rock to all North American cement manufacturers. In addition, some of our PC Rock products are sold internationally.

USG PC Rock comes in a variety of sizes and purities, and can be custom-blended to suit the needs of any cement producer. PC Rock offerings include gypsum rock, anhydrous rock, blends, gypsum fines, and synthetic gypsum. Sizing of the product line ranges from 8 inches to dust, with popular top sizes of 2 to 3 inches. Bottom sizes typically are ½- to ¼-inch.
